Okay, so I haven’t updated anything yet. Oh, well…I’ll get to it in the next few days. Sometimes life gets in that way… can you believe it?
In the mean time, I want to address something that DogDave brought to my attention.
There’s a report going around that during a chat tonight, Amanda revealed that the reason Neil left the show. She reportedly said it was because his cousin was one of the students killed during the shootings at Northern Illinois University.
There’s a small problem with that, though…
Neil left the house the evening of WEDNESDAY, February 13th. I even posted images of a distraught Josh after Neil left. That was the 13th. Note that most of my caps’ title are also timestamped… there’s no doubt when Neil left.
The shooting occurred the next day.
Why would Amanda lie about this?
Yeah… I don’t know, either.
EDIT/UPDATE: It seems that Amanda never actually said this… let’s hope the transcript clears it up completely.
The original report stems from an overview of the chat posted at Jokers (now deleted…HA HA). The user, “katco” said:
not allowed to tell why neil left house. family emergency that is very sad.
(cousin got shot at NIU)
So, it seems the rumor was started by an assumption from a poster at Jokers who, for some reason, felt that this was true. Anyone who knows me knows that I am NOT a fan of Joker’s and most of the people who post there. (Get over it, Joker heads…you simply are not the end all and be all of the BB Universe!) There’s simply too much random shit and rumors that get started there…and this seems to be another fine example…
So did Amanda lie? Frankly, I was really shocked to hear that she may have said that. It’s looking like that answer, clearly, is no… a Jokertard said it based on an assumption. Is anyone surprised?

On another note…clearly, the reason Neil left is none of our business. BB didn’t mention it, and nobody else is talking. That should be more than enough of a reason to just leave it alone. Aren’t there enough idiots left in the house to worry about?

If you view the comments for this entry, you’ll see a response from the poster at Jokers. I’ll let you all decide… but I stand by what I’ve already written here. If what the poster said was true, it seems reasonable that he/she would have gone back to edit that comment from his/her post. (Even though someone at Jokers has since deleted the post entirely.) So yeah…I’m leaving this as it is because my mind hasn’t changed really… it’s that kind of irresponsible stuff that fosters all the rumors that Joker’s is known to create. Remember, though…this is my blog… it’s just my opinion. If you don’t like me (and I know there are plenty of you out there) I’m okay with that. Bitch away. I’ll just laugh at you.
